The council areas we cover

Our surveyors and our MCS-certified installation partner work across six council areas in and around Glasgow. Whether you are in a city centre tenement, a suburban estate, or a rural property, we arrange the survey and quote for your home.

Glasgow City

From the West End to the South Side, the city centre and the East End — tenement flats, terraces and detached homes all have solar potential, and our survey covers roof access and ownership for each property type.

East Dunbartonshire

Bearsden, Milngavie, Bishopbriggs, Kirkintilloch, Lenzie and Twechar. A mix of suburban detached and semi-detached homes with generous roof space — well suited to solar and battery systems.

East Renfrewshire

Newton Mearns, Giffnock, Clarkston, Barrhead, Neilston and Thornliebank. Popular family-home areas where battery storage helps shift daytime solar into evening use.

Renfrewshire

Paisley, Renfrew, Johnstone, Erskine, Bridge of Weir, Houston and Lochwinnoch. A broad mix of urban and semi-rural properties across the area.

South Lanarkshire

East Kilbride, Hamilton, Rutherglen, Cambuslang, Lanark, Carluke, Strathaven and Larkhall. New-build estates and established towns alike, many with roof orientations that work well for solar.

North Lanarkshire

Motherwell, Wishaw, Airdrie, Coatbridge, Bellshill, Cumbernauld, Kilsyth and Moodiesburn. A wide range of property types from flats to large detached homes.

Glasgow neighbourhoods we regularly survey

Within Glasgow City itself, we arrange surveys across the full range of neighbourhoods — from the Victorian terraces of the West End to the post-war estates of the East End and the villa-lined streets of the South Side. If your area is not listed below, it does not mean we cannot help — these are simply the neighbourhoods we visit most often.

Property types we work with

Glasgow and its surrounding areas have a wide range of housing, and most types can take solar in some form. Our survey assesses what is practical for your specific property.

Detached and semi-detached homes

The most straightforward properties for solar — typically a clear pitched roof, space for an inverter and battery in a garage or utility room, and straightforward scaffolding access. These homes suit the full range of system sizes, from modest arrays with a small battery to larger setups designed to run a heat pump or charge an EV overnight.

Tenement and terraced properties

Tenement flats are common across Glasgow's West End and South Side. Roof ownership and access need to be confirmed, and the available roof area per flat is usually smaller, but a well-sized system with a battery can still cover a meaningful share of a household's usage. The survey covers this in detail.

New-build estates

Newer estates across Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire often have roofs built to modern standards with good orientations. Many new-build owners add a battery to maximise self-consumption, particularly where a heat pump is already installed.

Rural and farmhouse properties

Outlying properties in South Lanarkshire, East Renfrewshire and Renfrewshire often have large roofs, outbuildings, and higher electricity usage — making them well suited to larger solar and battery systems. Our survey covers roof condition, three-phase supply where present, and the best location for inverters and batteries.
